The Irish Division of the International Association of Dental Research (IADR) held their Annual Scientific Meeting in Belfast during November where Stefania Magnano, Horizon 2020 TRACT funded PhD student supervised by Dr Jeff O’Sullivan (Dental Science) and Dr Danny Zisterer (Biochemistry & Immunology) achieved first place in President’s Poster competition for her work entitled “Pre-clinical evaluation of targeting autophagy for the treatment of Oral Squamous Cell Carcinoma”.

Congratulations to Alexandros Lazaris and to Grainne Brennan on recently completing their Ph.D.s under the supervision of Professor David Coleman and Dr. Anna Shore from the Division of Oral Biosciences, Microbiology Research Unit.

The Dublin Dental University would like to welcome our students who commenced their Masters in Clinical Dentistry.  This is a welcomed new programme to the Postgraduate Area for the Dental School.

The School of Dental Science runs a Day Programme each year for Transition Year students, taking a maximum of 50 students for the programme.

May we take this opportunity to wish the Class of 2017 best wishes as they leave the Dublin Dental University Hospital at the end of this week following their three years of postgraduate studies.
